What began as pharmaceutical botanical work became a question of provenance. If the material matters, its origin matters. Cultivation, harvest and characterisation therefore become part of formulation itself.

In 2021, the research entered controlled mycology, with Hericium, Cordyceps and Reishi documented in an isolated, artificially lit cultivation environment.

THE SPARK
ONE ORGANISM CHANGED THE SHAPE OF THE PROJECT.
Hericium became the defining organism. The research lineage around erinacines gave the programme a direction and helped shape the internal name ERINIUM.
The name came after the research. Not before it.
THE CONSTRAINT
WHAT CAN STILL BE PRODUCED WHEN RESUPPLY IS NO LONGER GUARANTEED?
Space was not the decoration. It was the constraint.
The question extends beyond space: which biologically valuable materials can remain identifiable, reproducible and producible inside an environment with limited external supply?

ERINIUM separates sources, materials, internal records and protocol decisions so that provenance remains visible.
